My name is Gisela Maria Gonzalez Ferrera. I was born on May 8 1946 in the province of Santiago de Cuba. I am the youngest of six siblings. In 1962 my mother and I moved to the city, La Habana with my sister who was married. I studied economics at the university of La Habana. When I graduated as an economist, I worked in the company Enrique Varona. In 1971 I got married and in 1974 my only daughter was born, her name is Patricia Garbey González. In the year 2000 Patricia got married and moved to Panama. In 2001 I traveled to Panama to help my daughter when my granddaughter Victoria was born. We lived in Panama until 2016.

Australia: a land of opportunities. It’s never late to learn. In 2018 I began attending the Harmony Place Center in Yeronga where I not only met new friends, but I had the opportunity to learn the art of making cards using rice paper. I learned something totally new for me with Rosario Rodríguez and Dina Claros to whom I am very grateful for all their dedication. I love making cards.
